Is the Nexus 8 Tablet on Google's KitKat Promo Site?

Nexus8

Google updated its promotional Android site, and there's a tablet hiding on one of the pages that might actually be the company's unreleased Nexus 8.
Nestled in the Apps and Entertainment section of the site — which was recently updated with thelaunch of the Nexus 5 smartphone — there's an image of a woman tapping what could potentially be Google's next-generation device. The device is running the latest version of Android, KitKat.
The device is a bit different than the current Nexus tablet model, with a slimmer bezel and looking smaller in size (about 8 inches). The tablet was first spotted by Verge forum user Britoid.
This wouldn't be the first time Google has snuck an upcoming product into promotional materials. When the company posted a video in September that captured the unveiling of the Android 4.4 KitKat statue at its headquarters, a staffer held in his hands the Nexus 5 smartphone. The video was later pulled after viewers spotted the product.

Photobucket Rises Again, Tops Flickr With 26 Million Users

Back in May, at a news conference in New York, Yahoo  unveiled  a revamped version of Flickr that gave users 1 TB of free storage and allowed them to upload full-resolution photos. “The look and feel here is about photos and being unbounded,”  Yahoo  Chief Executive Officer Marissa Mayer said at the time. “Photos make the world go round. We want to make Flickr awesome again.” Early reviews were largely positive. David Pogue (then of the  New York Times ,  now  of Yahoo), called  the new Flickr a “gigantic improvement” and raved about the “insane, historic, vast amount of space.” But six months later, awesomeness has proven elusive. According to ComScore data, in May 2013, at the time of Mayer’s news conference, Flickr had 27.3 million multiplatform monthly unique users in the U.S. By September, those numbers had dipped slightly to 26.2 million. In the meantime, Flickr appears to be losing ground to at least one of its rivals. In Septembe...

Apple iPad Air Raises the Tablet Bar

Holding the Apple iPad Air Apple's iPad Air takes the tablets design to a new level of portability. At just one pound and 0.29 inch thick, the tablet is light enough to hold with just your fingertips. iPad Air Box The only notable thing about the iPad Air box is that it's smaller than any full-size iPad box that's come before it. iPad Air side view As you can see, the lock switch and volume buttons are still on the side. iPad Air Back Aside from the "space gray" aluminum, there's nothing remarkable about the back of the iPad Air. You can see the iSight camera in the upper left corner. iPad Air's iSight Camera This is pretty much the same camera you'll find on the previous iPad and on the iPhone 5C. iPad Air Top Edge The top edge features the 3.5mm audio jack, microphone opening and the power/sleep button. iPad Air Speakers and Lighting Port Another look at that very thin edge. iPad Air ...
