Apple  has released a new version of  iOS , 7.0.4, which addresses a bug causing some FaceTime  calls to fail. The update for  iPhone ,  iPad  and iPod Touch devices fixes a  security issue  with the App Store that enabled a user to complete an app or in-app purchase without full authorization. An iPad Air has exploded at one Australian phone store. As a result, the local fire department was called and the scene had to be evacuated, according to  Mail Online. The incident occurred in an Vodafone store in Canberra. A Vodafone spokesperson said a “burst of flames” appeared near the charging port of the device. This suggests the tablet “suffered from extreme heat.” No one was injured. An Apple representative is said to have visited the store to collect the iPad Air for testing. Officially, the Cupertino, Calif.-based company provided no comment on the incident. This isn’t the first time an iOS device exploded. In previous instances, however, it was an  iPhone that caught fire.  Incidentally, one of those cases had to do with an iPhone 4  exploding on a Australian flight. There may not be quite as many people waiting outside  Apple  stores for an  iPad Air  as there has been for  other recent Apple launches , but the device may still have a very successful opening weekend. Gene Munster, a top Apple analyst with Piper Jaffray, said in an investor note Friday that he expects Apple to sell 2.5 million to 3.5 million iPad Air devices this weekend. If sales came in at the high end, that would be more than the 3 million devices sold during the opening weekend when Apple introduced the iPad Mini and fourth generation iPad. Unlike last year, Apple is staggering the launch of the two iPad devices by releasing the Retina iPad Mini later this month, which Munster argues accounts for the smaller lines.
