جاء في تقرير أعدته شركة "أريكسون" السويدية  للاتصالات والهواتف أن عدد مستخدمي الهواتف الذكية يزداد بسرعة أكبر مما كان يتوقع سابقا. وسيزداد عدد الهواتف الذكية في العالم بحلول عام 2019 بمقدار ثلاثة أضعاف، أي من 1.9 مليار هاتف في أواخر عام 2013 إلى 5.6 مليار هاتف في أواخر عام 2019 . وستصبح الأسواق النامية التي يزداد فيها شراء الهواتف الذكية بدلا من الهواتف المحمولة، مصدرا أساسيا لهذا النمو. وبحسب وكالة "استراتيجي أناليتيك" فإن مبيعات الهواتف الذكية في الربع الثالث لعام 2013 ازدادت بنسبة 45%  بالمقارنة مع  الفترة نفسها للعام الماضي وبلغت 251 مليون هاتف. وتعود نسبة 35.2% من المبيعات إلى شركة "سامسونغ"، فيما  بلغت حصة "آبل" 13.4% فقط. ويقول محللو شركة "أريكسون" إن السنوات الست القادمة ستشهد ازديادا سريعا لمبيعات الهواتف المحمولة، بما فيها الهواتف الذكية، وذلك بفضل انتشار مواد الفيديو. وجاء في تقرير الشركة أيضا أن عدد الهواتف الذكية المستخدمة الآن يشكل نسبة 25% - 30% من إجمالي الأجهزة المنقولة. ويتوقع محللو الشركة أن يفوق عدد مستخدمي الهواتف...

It was  promised  months ago, and now it's finally happening:  Vine  is now available on  Windows Phone . The social video-capture app owned by  Twitter  was an instant hit upon its debut in late January, first  arriving on iOS , then  Android  a few months later. Apple  is developing  iPhones  with curved-glass screens and enhanced sensors that detect different levels of pressure,  according to a new report . Two models — with screens of 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches —are in the works, and both would use glass that curves downward at the edges, Bloomberg reported, citing an anonymous source familiar with the plans. These screen sizes almost rival that of  Samsung's Galaxy Note 3, which boasts a 5.7-inch screen . For its part, Apple's  iPhone 5S has a 4-inch screen .
