An iPad Air has exploded at one Australian phone store. As a result, the local fire department was called and the scene had to be evacuated, according to  Mail Online. The incident occurred in an Vodafone store in Canberra. A Vodafone spokesperson said a “burst of flames” appeared near the charging port of the device. This suggests the tablet “suffered from extreme heat.” No one was injured. An Apple representative is said to have visited the store to collect the iPad Air for testing. Officially, the Cupertino, Calif.-based company provided no comment on the incident. This isn’t the first time an iOS device exploded. In previous instances, however, it was an  iPhone that caught fire.  Incidentally, one of those cases had to do with an iPhone 4  exploding on a Australian flight. Beneath the spotlight in a San Francisco, Calif., performing arts theater,  Apple  marketing chief Phil Schiller was about to stage-manage one of the most anticipated product unveilings of the year. It was the first post-Steve Jobs reveal of a new iPhone. Schiller was comforted by what he saw in the darkened audience. “It’s really neat to stand here and see all the Apple logos glowing,” he said of computers on the laps of journalists, analysts and fans, all poised to send his words into the world. The lights dimmed, and Schiller stepped backward, stage left. A glowing iPhone 5 came up from beneath the stage, rising on a pedestal. “It is an absolute jewel,” he said. Schiller then pitched the phone’s features, including an 8-megapixel camera. After the  Federal Aviation Administration   announced Thursday  that it would begin easing restrictions on passengers' use of electronic devices during flights, JetBlue captured the new policy in a video. Deploying a team of two videographers, the airline created the video, below, which shows its first moments of in-flight gadget use. “The video was created so we could give a behind-the-scenes look,” Jenny Dervin, a JetBlue spokesperson, told  Mashable . “We just wanted to show how we were able to implement the policy immediately.” Featuring real passengers flying from New York City to Buffalo, N.Y., the video shows them holding their electronic devices, newly freed from previous in-flight usage restrictions. “At 4:15 p.m. ET on Friday, we got approval from the FAA, and we sent the word out in a message to each aircraft.," Dervin added. Google’s new London office, scheduled to open in 2016, will have an open-air swimming pool, an indoor football pitch, a climbing wall and a roof garden from which to watch trains glide out of Kings Cross station toward Cambridge or  Hogwarts . Googlers can cycle right into the building and to the cycle store room, which is equipped with showers and lockers. Somewhere in the interstices, there will also be desks to work at.
