Apple  is developing  iPhones  with curved-glass screens and enhanced sensors that detect different levels of pressure,  according to a new report . Two models — with screens of 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches —are in the works, and both would use glass that curves downward at the edges, Bloomberg reported, citing an anonymous source familiar with the plans. These screen sizes almost rival that of  Samsung's Galaxy Note 3, which boasts a 5.7-inch screen . For its part, Apple's  iPhone 5S has a 4-inch screen . The new phones would likely be released in the third quarter of next year, the source said, adding that Apple is also testing "pressure-sensitive technology," which won't be ready for the next iPhone launch. Beneath the spotlight in a San Francisco, Calif., performing arts theater,  Apple  marketing chief Phil Schiller was about to stage-manage one of the most anticipated product unveilings of the year. It was the first post-Steve Jobs reveal of a new iPhone. Schiller was comforted by what he saw in the darkened audience. “It’s really neat to stand here and see all the Apple logos glowing,” he said of computers on the laps of journalists, analysts and fans, all poised to send his words into the world. The lights dimmed, and Schiller stepped backward, stage left. A glowing iPhone 5 came up from beneath the stage, rising on a pedestal. “It is an absolute jewel,” he said. AuthenTec cofounder F. Scott Moody put the most groundbreaking work his company has done on display this October at North Carolina State University, where he showed off Apple's  Touch ID to engineering students. Purchased last year by Apple for $356 million, AuthenTec is behind the  iPhone 5S  fingerprint sensor, a tiny device located underneath the phone's home button. The sensor uses a finger's grooves and pores to identify its owner, and it gets to know you better every time you use it. Fingerprinting wasn't always so easy, though, according to  Apple Insider . Touch ID was initially called FingerLoc, and the technology sometimes worked in fits and starts. Moody once got IBM's chief technology officer to test out the sensor, only to have it misidentify him. But AuthenTec eventually revamped its sensor into a tiny device that only costs $0.80, and  Motorola ,  Fujitsu  and Apple in particular expressed interest in the company. Now, after the...

مبيعات اي فون تفوق الـ 9 مليون  أعلنت الشركة الاثنين ان المبيعات  جاءت من 5S فون وفون 5C قد بلغت 9 ملايين - أعلى من توقعات المحللين . وذكرت الشركة أيضا أن200 مليون من الاجهزةتعمل على نظام  iOS 7 ، نظام التشغيل الجديد الذي قدم الاسبوع الماضي. وقد بلغت المبيعات رقما قياسيا في نهاية الأسبوع لشركة آبل.  اي فون 5 بلغت مبيعاته 5 ملايين وحدة في مطلع الاسبوع بعد صدوره في سبتمبر الماضي. وتوقعت أبل أيضا أن  إيراداتها في  الربع الأخير من العام المالي وصل من 34 مليار مليار دولار إلى 37 دولارا. وكان سعر سهم شركة أبل أكثر من 5٪ في التعاملات قبل الفتح.
